Not So Evil Sidecast #15: Under daaaa Sea!

Welcome back the sidecast folks.

In episode #15 we actually get a bit more eeeeevil than usual. The four of us pick a sea "creature" movie. I use the term creature loosely because it varies widely over the course of all four of our picks. Mike once again comes in with the most questionable pick featuring under water nazi zombies with SHOCKWAVES, Jeff doesn't disappoint with his shlocky serving of HUMANOID FROM THE DEEP, Iris decides to creep us all the hell out with DAGON, while Doug goes the most modern with THE HOST.  Four completely different takes on horrors from under the sea. We hope you enjoy the latest edition of the sidecast and don't forget your lifejacket!

Morbidly Made 33: Still At Camp With MADMAN MARZ!

This show is one that was DEFINITELY worth the wait! Things start with Kasey’s thoughts on TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION. Does Mark Walhberg live up to Shia? Has Michael Bay let the franchise go to shit? Then, it’s a DELIVER US FROM EVIL debate. Is John’s view of the film totally off? What makes a good “demon” film?

After a break, join us around the campfire as we get into MADMAN! We discuss the good, the bad, and how this early 80s slasher classic has endured throughout the years.
We then get into news. Sharknado 2 is coming, but do we care? Annabelle will possess theaters this October, Michael J eats steak for the first time ever, DUEL is coming to Blu-ray, and so much more is explored in this segment!

Last but certainly not least we have a very candid conversation with Madman Marz himself, Paul Ehlers! We get an in depth look inside the production, talk about what Paul feels makes a good horror film, and get into what he’s doing now! All that and so much more, this is a CAN’T MISS interview!

Morbidly Made 32: Return to Sleepaway Camp

Things start off going over what we watched. John feels like he’s in the 80s, and we welcome special guest Cody Robinson, who joins us on the show this week. After a break, TROY H. GARDNER (Author Of EXAMINING SLEEPAWAY CAMP) joins us to discuss the franchise and offer his thoughts on various aspects of it. We also get into fan scripts that are floating around the net, and who would be the better choice to direct another sequel Robert Hiltzik or Michael Simpson?

Then Cody, Kasey, and John discuss Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3, which was better? Did Simpson make better films than Hiltzik? All that and more are discussed in depth. Do you agree or disagree with their analysis?
Michael J returns for the news, but before we can get into anything his music choices for the last episode are called to question. After he defends his choices we talk Silent Night, Deadly Night’s Blu-ray release, the problem with Amazon’s listing for the HALLOWEEN: COMPLETE COLLECTION BLU-RAY BOXSET, New Line is releasing what looks to be a horrible found footage movie, the next FRIDAY THE 13TH will be in 3D, and more! This is a jam packed episode!

Duncan and Bo Come Correct - Episode Five: Power!

The score is 3-2, Duncan.  Waylaying Bo with the excellent A Field in England, Duncan pulls ahead and has come most correct over four episodes.  Back against the wall, can Bo tie it up or will Scotland's favorite son widen the gap?  This episode reveals all!

We discuss two films that deal with power, whether criminal or political (what's the difference really?).  Two films from the year 2000 face off in the cinematic circle, the film Thunderdome from which only one movie may be crowned king.

Also, more monkey talk.

Mentioned in the episode, we highly recommend these two podcasts:
We Hate Movies
and
Killer POV

Duncan and Bo Come Correct: Episode 4; Auteur-o-rama!

We have been remiss in getting you, our dear droogs, a new episode.  I, Bo, take full responsibility for that in that it has taken more time to edit this episode.  BUT, this episode is about twice as long as usual, so don’t be so huffy.  In Episode Four, a TIEBREAKER episode, we discuss two very different films from two very different filmmakers, both of whom have produced some of the most interesting cinema in the past decade.  Ben Wheatley and Bobcat Goldthwait give us plenty to talk about with A Field in England and Willow Creek  Enjoy the drama of our discussion when Duncan and Bo decide who has come most correct in the first four episodes, and who will emerge victorious in our 2-2 tie.
Also, if you want to suggest movies to us, let me know at Bo.Ransdell@gmail.com.

Enjoy!

Morbidly Made 31: Sleepaway Camp!

Sleepaway Camp fans rejoice! Not only do we get into the original film and Return To Sleepaway Camp, but we are joined by Writer/Director Robert Hiltzik for a truly bizarre interview. What was really the curling iron’s destination? What about the inspiration for Return To Sleepaway Camp? This is a candid conversation with a very unique individual.

Then we get into our thoughts on both films. Was anyone able to see past the films’ flaws? Things wrap up with news, which includes an update on Campout Nightmare VII. This is definitely a must hear episode!

Duncan and Bo Come Correct: Episode 3, or Buddies on Patrol!

Here we are again, faithful listeners, with another round of the greatest battle humanity has yet known.  On the one side, Duncan MacLeish, hailing from Scotland, and avid viewer of cinema.  On the other, Bo Ransdell, American and defender of the freedom to eat a triple cheeseburger with a fork made from an Uzi.

This time, they each choose a buddy cop film, but can the strain of competition allow these cinematic brawlers to be buddies at the end?  Also, there’s something about August Underground and heads exploding.

GraveShift Radio - Day of the Spiral!

Ryan, John and Bo return once again for an all new episode of GSR. This time around the guys take an in depth look at George Romero's zombie classic Day Of The Dead, and Adam Green's film Spiral. This was a fun show to be sure. And because of John's love of talking about his certain body part it's for adults only! And again, thanks for all the support.
